East Aurora School District 131 has a new mission, vision, and five-year strategic plan. East Aurora School District 131 tiene una nueva misión, visión y un plan estratégico de cinco años.
District 131 students, elementary through high school, will have a chance to visit their classroom and meet their teacher before the start of the school year. From 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, students can stop by their school with a parent or guardian, see their classroom, and meet their teacher during this time.
Teacher assignments for elementary students will be mailed no later than August 2.
At the Meet your Teacher event, students will be able to drop off any supplies in their classroom. Middle and high school students may not have access to their lockers and should not anticipate being able to leave supplies at their school.
NOTE FOR PRESCHOOL: Preschool classes will not be participating in this event. For new students to preschool this year who were screened in May, June and July, you should have received notification about schedule pick up taking place the week July 22. A preschool orientation event will take place August 16; see more information.
Remember that many families will be visiting the classrooms, and this will not be an appropriate time for in-depth discussions about academic or social concerns your student might have. Please contact the school or your student’s teacher to schedule a separate time to discuss these concerns.
We look forward to seeing all students for the first day of school on Wednesday, August 14.
